Why Use a Cover for Your Residential Umbrellas?

Residential umbrellas are not immune to bad weather conditions – whether it be scorching heat or snowy winters. They can be damaged by heavy rain, hail storms, strong winds and freezing temperatures, so it’s a good idea to protect them from potential damage. This will also ensure that they can be used for a longer period of time.  Poggesi includes a free cover with all of our custom umbrellas!

Here Are Some Other Reasons to Have a Cover for Your Residential Umbrellas:

Heat: the sun damages the umbrella’s fabric, especially pool umbrellas. It’s advisable to put a cover on the pool umbrella when it isn’t being used to protect it from damaging sun exposure.

Rain: heavy rainstorms also damage the umbrella’s fabric. You should cover your umbrella and keep it indoors.  If you forget to bring in your umbrella then just using a cover will also protect it.

Moisture: humidity and other moisture can lead to the growth of mold and mildew on your patio umbrella. Molds thrive in moisture, so it’s a good idea to cover your umbrella during humid weather conditions.

Residential umbrellas should also be covered during the off-season. This ensures that they will be protected from all the elements and they will be in mint condition when you need them!
